Globalization, technological change, volatile and fragmented markets, and informed consumers are only a few forces dictating the necessity for the successful project completion.
PMP Career Track
Successful project completion requires effective leadership to inspire and unify diverse personalities; proper scheduling to meet tight deadlines; solid budget management to work with
limit funding; effective tasks management beyond simply working a checklist; solving problems amidst increasing complexity; and achieving results within the strategic framework of the
organization to drive optimal business performance and returns. That is a tremendous undertaking and only a few prosper at meeting the challenge.
This demanding environment has made professionals with project management skills highly sought after individuals. HL’s Project Management Certificate Program is designed to provide
professionals the knowledge, tools and skills to prepare them for the challenging role of project manager.
Projects are only successful if they support the strategic direction of the organization. Therefore one of the objectives of this program is to provide participants an understanding
of the relationship between strategy and projects.
We offer two tracks for project management professional development. Our first track is the Project Management Certificate Program. The track is designed for
individuals seeking their Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification provided by the Project Management Institute (PMI). This programs provides the
knowledge and concepts that are aligned with the PMI's Project Management Body Of Knowledge (PMMBOK).
We offer a second more practical track that is designed for professionals who need to develop their project management skills to improve their ability to get things done. This
track focus on practical methods and techniques that can be immediately performed.
The objective of the certificate program is to provide participants the knowledge and capability to lead project teams to successfully complete projects by developing the proper
framework and documentation.
This integrated program differs from traditional project management courses such that the focus is on long-term results related to project activity and how to lead projects from a
strategic perspective instead of an operational perspective.
The program provides the conceptual basis for theoretical frameworks to analyze real projects. The program will include a combination of lectures, readings, in-class discussions and exams.
The readings vary in content from basic to advance project management theories and practices.
The program consists of 6 project management courses and 1 Microsoft Project course.
